Production Process Overview
Material Preparation
The manufacturing process begins with selecting high-quality carbon steel bars that meet specific chemical composition and mechanical property standards. These bars are precisely cut to required lengths according to design specifications.
Welding Process
Steel bars are assembled and welded using either pressure resistance welding for efficiency and uniform strength, or manual arc welding for specialized applications. Pressure resistance welding ensures strong, consistent welds at intersection points under high pressure and electric current.
Pretreatment Before Galvanizing
Prior to galvanizing, welded gratings undergo thorough degreasing to remove oils and contaminants, followed by pickling to eliminate rust and oxide layers. Complete rinsing ensures surface preparation for optimal zinc adhesion.
Hot-Dip Galvanizing Process
Pretreated steel grating is immersed in molten zinc at approximately 450°C, creating a metallurgical bond that forms zinc-iron alloy layers. Galvanized layer thickness is controlled through immersion time and zinc bath composition, resulting in a smooth, dense protective coating.
Quality Inspection
Every hot-dip galvanized steel grating undergoes rigorous quality control including visual inspection for surface defects, precise measurement of galvanized layer thickness, and mechanical testing of load-bearing capacity and tensile strength.
